Mastery Quest Update

                      New Boards and Lands!

Since there is so much going on in the world of Mastery Quest, we have seen many new lands and boards. What I really love is that now we can walk inside of buildings such as the Edentian Library (Which is my new home) the Sisterhood Castle, and the Earth Kingdom's Castle.

And that is what it looks like inside the Earth Kingdom Castle. Unfortunately, it has been taken over by Medusa and her evil clan.

Magic, Mythology and More!

This post is for all you people who are obsessed with studying the supernatural. Aka all fantasy fans.

Lately I have been reading Percy Jackson and the Olympians; Harry Potter and many other fantasy books. I have become quite obsessed with learing more about all these myths and magic and stuff. So here is what I have learned.

In sequel to the Percy Jackson and the Olympians and Heroes of Olympus series, Rick Riordan will publish this guide to mythology during August 2014.

                             So what is Greek Mythology?

A long time before humans learned about science and meteorology, the world was described as being controlled by many different Gods. Poseidon, Hades and Zeus fought over controlled of the heavens, sea and underworld. Poseidon won the sea, Zeus won the heavens and Hades won the underworld. Becasue they shared control of the earth, there were many arguments. These Gods gave birth to others such as Hermes, Demeter, Hera and Athena.

                                   Mythological Creatures

Some mythological creatures included: Cyclopes, a one-eyed monster; Centaurs, half- humans half-horses; Pegasus, sort of like a unicorn without the horns; and Medusa, the baddest of them all.

 

                                     Magic and Wizardry

Ok, so we have Greek Mythology covered, or at least a very small fraction of it. But what about wizards? Magicians? Witches? Hold up, we are about to get to that.

                                        Harry Potter Magic

J.K Rowling is one of my favorite authors. She is a celebrity becasue of her series, Harry Potter, which has sold millions of copies worldwide, and has been made into movies of all seven books. In these novels she teahes us about the beauty of magic and the supernatural while providing us with a fun, mysterious plot that will get you thinking hard about the subject.

She includes lots of things e think about every Halloween, such as ghosts, wizards, witches, magic wands, spirits and what not.

Now lets  go through some Harry Potter vocabulary.

Wand: A magical device that is used to cast spells. Sort of like a remote control.

Wizard/Witch: A person that is capable of performing the supernatural; things that cannot be explained by science.

Spell: A form of words used as a magical charm or indication.

Ghost: The spirit of a dead person that is either transparent or invisible.

Dementor: A ghost- like creature that absorbs all happiness and glee from humans, for it is what they feed on.

Curse: A spell that is used for evil, to harm a person with.

Divination: Being able to see into the future by supernatural means. (Crystal balls, etc)

Transfiguration: The process of literally transforming an object with magic.

Herbology: The study of magical plants and fungi

Apparate: To transport oneself instantly to any destination.

The Lightsaber!

The lightsaber is a weapon used in Star Wars by the Jedi and the Sith. It is commonly known as a "Laser Sword" or an Energy Sword. It is probably one of the most awesome sci-fi gadget ever thought up ofn human history.

A lightsaber is made of pure energy. According to a book called The Jedi Path, Jedi create it using a magical crystal of any color.

Zombis! Zombis! ZOMBISSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today us Questers discovered a new ( rather disturbing) world. As you can guess from the title, its name is Zombis! Of course, the reason why is because it is full of ZOMBIES!

I don't think I am the only person that nearly barfed when I saw the fountain of blood, the bloody arms and legs laying around on the already disgusting ground. And of course Quester Rosemary( Patchouli Moss) had to go on about the- brace yourself- chunky river of blood and guts.

Okay, I'm over it. On with the story. After the Game Master's challenge, there was an arena challenge, except nobody challenged me. I had to battle The RHINO! As I nervously gripped my light saber, I sensed something. Something that I had not sensed before. I realized that I was not scared of the Dark Side of the force. I realized that they were scared of us. Do you feel it too? The Dark Side is weak. They disguise this with weapons, muscles and trickery. But they are weak. The only weapon the Dark Side has is their hate, anger and fear that they will be defeated. And the only thing reason they want to defeat us is that they want power.

Anyway, I won the battle and I earned myself a TARDIS. Time and Relative Dimension in Space, as the Doctor puts it. But I did not want to be mean, so I decided that once the Water Lands is back, we will use it as a transportation system for all of the Sisters. But for the time being, I carried some needy passengers to - you know it- ZOMBIS! One of our fairies was trapped! I decided to stay and guard our ship- hold down the fort, you might call it. I was attacked by an army of zombies and spiders, but I guess it was okay. Unfortunately though, we failed to save our fairy ally, but we all got out of there safely.

That is a picture of the TARDIS from one of my favorite television shows, Doctor Who. I greatly recommend it to all sci-fi fans, like me.

The Shadow Crystals, Yucky Seafood and PARTAYYYYY

Today was quite an awesome Mastery Quest day. I feel like it all went down according to plan, no luck needed. 

I was called on a mission by the Game Master( the GM is the person that is control of the games) that I was to return the Shadow Crystal to Shenobis, for it contained information about the land's weaknesses. If it got into the wrong hands, we might all have been doomed.

Then what seemed like a miracle occurred. As if on cue, the Rino games said that whoever won the next competition would receive( you guessed it) the Shadow Crystal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So of course I took the challenge. I won the first round. Lost the second round. But I realized that it wasn't fair. We were only doing physical challenges. I convinced them to do a mental round, and with my incredible genius(jk), I won the RINO GAMES!!! I took my winnings and headed straight for Shenobis. It was hard to do, considering the fact that I was being chased by a brain-hungry, gut-slurpy zombie man. Also, I was almost robbed by light-being Anthony, but then he realized that abilities were disabled in the land we were in. MWAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! See? All according to plan. Finally, I got to Shenobis and returned the crystal of DOOM. 

So yeah, now I have my very on Shenobi body guard, and the respect of their world. Also a complete mission and 500 experience points!!!!!! Afterwards we celebrated  Amanda's B-Day by having yummy snacks. Happy Birthday Amanda!

UGH. Then my parents took me to a seafood restaurant and I absolutely HATE seafood. My parents seemed upset and disappointed, but they cannot force me to eat live crab or jellyfish guts, no matter how "good" they say it is.

So yeah, to end on a good note, today was an Awesome Day!!!!

The Lemonade Stand; The Empire Strikes Back!

This week was definitely a historical week for the Mastery Quest world. It was the start of a galactic war, where many empires fought for justice. It all started when Omegus, a galactic hero, came to the Water Lands. His sword has a spell. Every thousand years or so his sword disappears from his hand, and the world that it re-appears on is his to keep. Of course, we did not let that happen, so some of us agreed to join the Galactic Empire.Hera Alpha told me that I could upgrade my sword of power if I simply went to the Shenobi World and got a sample from the tree of life.

In order to get past the Shenobi Temple, I had to solve three problems. One was a case, one was an On the Dot, and one other.

These  Mental challenges allowed me to get past the temple and continue.

                                        The Government; Achievments

This week the government and empire fought an suffered, but it was sure worth it. We have advanced to a LEVEL 1 society!!!!!

First Day at the Lemonade Stand

Today was my first day doing MQ camp at theLemonade Stand. It was indeed different, but still lots of fun!

So yesterday there was a huge change in the lands. The Shadow Lands, the evil, hateful, nasty land, was transformed into a land of peace, plants and fresh water. Almost like the Water Lands! Apparently during the week I missed, the water in the Shadow Lands was purified, so the land turned beautiful.

Unfortunately for me though, I was unpleasantly surprised by the fact that I was no longer in control of the Water Lands, and that it had been taken over by evil people. I had a feeling that something bad would happen while I was gone. I BEGGED my mom to let me go last week, but I was busy, so I just waited in suspense the rest of the week.

Well, I guess thats it for now! BYEEEEEEE

The Nameless Green One

The whole world is in danger, including the Water Lands.

 The first image is of the characters getting getting sucked into a portal to get their powers and energy harnessed. The second photo is juDee trapped in the Air Lands. The Man responsible for these here crimes is known as the Nameless Green One. He claims to like me because I let him slide once, but he will have to earn our trust. Luckily, juDee is saved, but the people being ripped of their energy are still in great danger. 

Who Is The Nameless Green One?

This man basically flies around acting as if he is a hero  but is known for his mischief around the world. juDee says that his actual name has been long forgotten, which makes him triple mysterious. He says that if I join his side, he will make me princess of the world, as long as I don't help my fellow Questers.

He gave the Sister Hood this Metanoid Droid to protect us, which is very useful since our others were destroyed. Oh I forgot, Prof. Stein was captured to, which is bad news for the world of technology.

WHO WILL STOP THIS MAN??!!!??

The Allies, the Law, and the Sword of Power

Today was another interesting day.

There was a meeting in the city. All of the government had to decide whether we should ban RoboCops or enforce them. More importantly, the "Slavery" of the allies. It seems that everyone thinks we, the Questers, are enslaving our allies, but this is not true. We are simply using them to help fight the evil forces and access electronic files, if you have a protocol. We decided that RoboCops should be enforced  in the city, but no one wants there ally taken away simply because of a misunderstanding. 

After the meeting, our discussion about the allies in the WaterLands was interrupted by a professor at the University we built. She told me that her students had created something called the "Sword of Power". She told me that I had to train for it. The training was: I had to hold a light-saber in one hand; I had to roll; then I had to block the ball that was thrown at me with the light-saber. It was the most awesome training I had ever had. The Sword of Power does 7 attack damage and I can jump from 20 inches away to attack someone with it!

Mastery Quest Camp: Day 1

So today was my third day of Mastery Quest Camp this summer.

Last time the we learned that the giants were angry because of their hunger, and we fed them, but their meal of Super Foods definitely did not last long. We had to collect 5000 Super Foods; 100 each of the giants, and 2000 for bulks father. That means we had to do five hundred leg-lifts!!!!!  Then we had to go to the magical desert and return the giants crystal from the Sayans, who were using it to control the giants and destroy the universe.

I noticed that there was a new world in Mastery Quest, home to some tribe. Not much went on there today, but it seemed very mysterious to me, because a man was trying to convince a Quester to "Walk on the Green, Not the Purple". Whatever that meant.

Mastery Quest: Revenge of the Shadow Giants

Today was quite an interesting and successful day for Mastery Questers.

The evil giants were set free from the Shadow Lands, and they were indeed very angry that their crystal had been stolen. So I guess their solution to the problem was to.....TRY TO GAIN CONTROL OF THE SISTERHOOD??!!! Yes, I know it is a dumb solution but hang with me.

 As me and my fellow Questers struggle to fight Gigantus, I asked juDee why these giants were so angry.She said that the giants suffered because each land they went to did not have enough food or resources for their huge bodies. They had become so hungry that they tried to destroy everyone.

So I came up with a plan. I explained my sympathy to the giants and told them that maybe I could help them. I collected 1000 super foods for each of them, and 2000 for Bulks father. After they had devoured their food, they thanked me and my fellow Sisters for the help, and the Sisterhood was safe from the giants.

But that is not the end. The giants said that they will not be evil until they become hungry again. So we will probably give them seeds to grow super foods in the Shadow Lands. 

After all of the Mastery Questers celebrated the discovery of the giants' kindness and we all did an Irish jig!
